Explaining Tai Sui as the Root of Taoism

We promise to bring you more every year and therefore this year we would like to give a more thorough review regarding Tai Sui to clear confusion and misconception among feng shui practitioners. Tai Sui is being referred to as Grand Duke Jupiter or Grand Commander of the Year. The Taoist calendar is organized into a series of twelve "earthly branches" which rotate according to the five elements. The result is a sixty year cycle. Taoists believe that sixty Grand Commanders are assigned to command each year, and each with their own characteristics, temperaments, abilities, etc., to rule the years of the 60-year cycle.

Lately, some like to relate Tai Sui to pure science based on astronomical studies of how the Jupiter planet orbits one day for every 12 years the earth orbits. Although the basis of Tai Sui is related to the orbit of Jupiter, but it is not purely science. The Jupiter moves anticlockwise from west to east, and astronomers invented an imaginary orbit that moves the other way round from east to west to take positions and is called Star of Sui (Jupiter). That is how the name Grand Duke "Jupiter" came about. Some parties who wished to modernized feng shui so that it can become a pure science will explain Tai Sui as an order of positions of the Jupiter. Although we wished it could be pure science, but those who have studied Taoism will know better that the custom of praying to Tai Sui started centuries ago since Zhou dynasty. We like to educate people of the Western world so that they are not being misled in the wrong way. Remedying problems brought by the Tai Sui, curing Tai Sui Shar and praying to Tai Sui have also been a tradition practised by the chinese for centuries. Avoiding the Tai Sui alone and doing nothing about it does not really resolve the problem. To find out more, one could always visit taoist temples with 60 Tai Sui statues together with Dou Mu Yuan Jun (Big Dipper Mother of Northern Stars) to see for themselves.

The Tai Sui for the Year of Fire Pig 2007 is General Feng Qi. Those whose chinese names having the same strokes as Feng Qi will be offending him and will suffer from emotional set backs due to pressure, lawsuit, quarrel and fight. He was warrior in military attire. When the Tai Sui of the year wears the military attire, it suggests warfare. Instead of using weapons, he holds the bamboo to signify punishing using a cane. This means the war would have the losing party punished, not by sharp weapon but by something else that could cause extreme pain and torture like when beaten by the bamboo. War criminals will be brought to face justice. Wrong-doers in the military will also be punished accordingly. Domestic criminals will also be wiped out as this disciplinary officer takes over the position of Tai Sui in 2007. There will be less crime and new rules could be imposed accross the nation for kids in school, adult activities, internet etc. Although looking serious, but because he is still smiling, it means there majority of the nation will be happy with the outcome of new ruling and military changes. Whether one offends or conflicts with the Tai Sui or not, if they don't perform their life in accordance to the principles of this year's Tai Sui, he or she will suffer from bad consequences.

General Feng Qi

The position of Tai Sui in 2007 is at NW3 ranging from 322.5 to 337.5 degrees. This direction will have geographical negative magnetic fields (shar chi) that could not be explained scientifically. The traditional use of Pi Yao in this area will greatly help to appease the Tai Sui. Over the years of gathering information, we finally found the most effective way to appease the Tai Sui with certain additional properties in the Pi Yao. Firstly, they must be fierce looking and in a pair to work better hand-in-hand. The humble or smiley ones do not work so well! Secondly, there must be metal element involved. Metal here refers to real gold or strong metal. Thirdly, the "Tai Sui mantra" must be available. It actually refers to a set of chinese incantation of the Tai Sui. This mantra had been used for centuries to help anyone overcome the wrath of Tai Sui. Therefore, we have designed a new pair of heavenly Tai Sui Pi Yao made from pure brass and plated 24K gold sitting on top of 6 coins (big metal). There are also two baguas to deflect negative energies. When one uses them to cure the Tai Sui Shar, they will have to place the Pi Yao together with the Tai Sui Mantra for maximum effectiveness.

Tai Sui Pi Yao has Tai Sui Mantras and the Productive 5-Element Cure

For master practitioners who don't like the idea of using symbols in cures or because their religions are offended, they can use the Productive 5 Element Cure to neutralize the energy in the NW. This method is very powerful as well because it uses the concept of elemental boosting method to maximize the elemental cure. One should display the cure in the order as shown in the following picture at the NW sector of the house with the curvy water facing NW direction. This follows the exhaustive cycle of five elements. For this situation in the NW, it is better not to use the destructive cycle because fire can cause problems to the patriarch in the NW.

And there should be no construction work done in this NW sector of the house, including repair work. If this sector is disturbed, those staying in the house will have a tough year ahead with a lot of arguments and sicknesses. If there is no choice but a serious need to work on this area, then avoid starting and ending in the NW. One can start in other sectors such as SW and end in N.

Zodiacs facing "Disagreements" with Tai Sui are Snake, Pig, Monkey and Tiger

To check for which zodiac one is born under, one will have to follow the Lunar Calendar. There are four zodiacs in disagreement with the Tai Sui in 2007 and they are the snake, pig, monkey and tiger. But for the tiger, since it is the companion of Tai Sui in the Year of Pig, the negative influence is being reduced. These disagreements are further termed as Conflicting Tai Sui, Offending Tai Sui, Torturing Tai Sui, Harming Tai Sui and Breaking Tai Sui which we will be discussing in greater detail in the following paragraph. We used these terms in our product article last year not knowing that it could create some surprises. The terms were actually translated from chinese, and there weren't exact words that could be used to describe each of those, therefore we plucked the closest we could possibly find from air without explaining them in detail. However, there were two unethical websites that later copied them blindly from us without understanding them. As a result, when their customers questioned them on the meanings, they failed to provide the answer. Their customers then came to consult us only to find that these terms originated from us and learnt from us the effects of each affliction. The moral of the story is one should not steal pork from others if they do not know how to wipe their mouths clean after eating. Using small abilities of changing grammar or summarizing the original author's work does not make the work theirs. We hope they can learn to respect others' work in order for theirs to be respected as well.

Conflicting Tai Sui - The snake conflicts the Tai Sui in 2007. It means the snake confronts the Tai Sui directly from the opposite direction like in "wrestling position" with the Tai Sui. No one can win the Tai Sui because he will be the victorious wrestler of the year. This kind of energy conflict is the fiercest of all. Problems associated to such a disagreement are for example the death of a loved family member, accidents, injuries, death, hospitalization, money loss, bankruptcy, demotion and losing a job. There will also be possible changes in the love relationship, therefore one has to exercise caution. Therefore, the snake should consider donating their blood and doing more charity in 2007. The worst months are the lunar 4th month and 10th month. During these months, the snake will lose in every area of their life. The best is to travel far away on holiday during those months.

Offending Tai Sui - The Pig offends the Tai Sui in 2007. The seriousness of offending Tai Sui will be considered as 2nd to conflicting the Tai Sui. Those who offend the Tai Sui will feel weak for the whole year and suffers from bad temper which results in poor human relationship. They will frequently fall sick, gets wounded and suffer from love problems. Especially the 60-year old pig could fall seriously ill. Therefore one has to exercise regularly and eat nutritiously. One should also not stay out for late nites because a lot of evil things can happen to one when the luck is not good. The worst months are the lunar 4th month and 10th month. During these months, the pig will lose in every area of their life. The best is to travel far away on holiday during those months.

Torturing Tai Sui - The Pig also tortures the Tai Sui in 2007. Therefore the pig suffers double disagreement with Tai Sui in 2007. When torturing the Tai Sui, the year spells no good harvest. There will a lot of contradictory problems afflicting them. Gossips, scandals and bad relationship with people are going to be a norm at work and even hard work will not pay off well at the end. Crisis after crisis will occur. Therefore this is going to be a non-fruitful year for those torturing the Tai Sui. The whole year will just go to waste. The best is to stay low profile. They can also learn up meditation and pick up some spiritual paths.

Harming Tai Sui - The Monkey harms the Tai Sui in 2007. When the Tai Sui is harmed, one will not do well simply because they cannot connect well with the rest of the eleven other zodiacs. They cannot get along with anyone and will face difficulty at work. Their public image will become tarnished and this will be a major disadvantage for those who are in politics, showbiz, business and doing sales. Gossips and troublemakers are aplenty making them difficult to concentrate on getting more important things done.

Breaking Tai Sui - The Tiger breaks the Tai Sui in 2007. This affliction will result in one's life going haywire and behaving in a disorderly manner. Although it is the lightest affliction, it cannot be ignored by all means else it will magnified to become bad. The slightest mistake will bring financial losses. For example one is going to get speeding tickets, fined for drunk driving, investigated by authorities for wrongdoings etc. Therefore, the Tiger will have to be extra tactful and careful in the year 2007.

Traditionally, these zodiacs in disagreement with the Tai Sui will have to pray to him for blessings after 4th February 2007. Traditionally, those who are living in towns that do not have the Tai Sui temple, they will carry along the Grand Duke Charm (Tai Sui Talisman) and Allies and Secret Friend Amulet. Even ones home that is facing the NW will have the members living in it all suffering from the wrath of Tai Sui. For these group of people, they can carry along the Allies and Secret Friends Amulet as well as the Tai Sui Companion Amulet. This year, the Tai Sui's companion is tiger. However since the tiger is overly fierce and may eat up a lot of other weaker zodiacs, it is better to use the milder mimic, which is the wealthcat. According to the theory of "Liu He", when the Tai Sui is busy with his companion, he will have no time to bother about you and will not disturb you. If one is not sure when and where they will conflict the Tai Sui, then the safest is to have the Allies and Friends together with the Wealthcat Amulet with them when they are busy outside. Afterall, they are lucky symbols that could bring good career luck and wealth luck as well!
